Due to requests from our free and Pro ManyCam users we have decided to release some cool new background effects. Our Pro users can download the new Squares Blue, Squares Orange, Squares Violet, Triangles Blue, Triangles Green, and Triangles Orange background effects.
For free users the Squares Green, Triangles Violet, and new Office backgrounds are available at no charge.

A major new version of ManyCam is now available for download. This new update has many major new features including:
IP Camera ManyCam Source Support – Go to the ManyCam “Video” tab then choose “Sources” then click “IP Cameras”. Next click “Add IP Camera” and input the IP camera URL to choose it as a video source in ManyCam. Get ManyCam Pro to add multiple IP camera sources.
New video and image galleries – Go the the main “Video” tab then look at your “Live Studio Mode” video window. At the bottom right of the video window there is a camera icon and a gallery icon. Take a snapshot and it goes to the gallery. To easily access the gallery click the gallery icon to the right of the snapshot icon. It’s easy to use gallery images or videos as video sources in ManyCam, just go to the “sources” tab and click “image” or “video” gallery.
Quickly take snapshots or use the pull-down for timed snapshots – Again go to the main “Video” tab then click the snapshot icon at the bottom right of your video window. You can use the pull-down menu to add a 3 or 5 second delay to the photo.
Capture and display specific apps – Go to the “Studio Pro” tab then click the top right arrow or the “Add Video Source” button in the video window you want to use. Next choose “desktop” then “capture area of application”. Choose your application and it will broadcast in ManyCam.
Add an Internet radio station as an audio source – Go to the “Audio” tab then click the bottom left + button. Next choose “Open URL” then insert the URL you want to use.
Full screen broadcast -Go to the top left “ManyCam” menu and choose “Full Screen Broadcast”. Next click the top right square icon to make the window full screen.
Get started window – New users will see a “Get Started” window with instructions on ManyCam’s most commonly used features.
Choose a monitor for desktop capture – Go to the “Video” tab then choose “Sources”. Next click “Desktop” as your video source. Underneath your video window click the first square window icon with a pull-down menu and choose what monitor you wish to use.
There are also many other small changes that you can view on the detailed change list.

ManyCam just released some cool new webcam effect filters for January. The new filters are called Pinky (a pink tone), Psy (a cool four colored filter), Fever (a hot looking filter), Eve (shown above), and Siberia (an icy looking filter for free users). The first four filters require ManyCam Pro but Siberia is available for free ManyCam users.
Lately we have received a lot of questions from our users on how to automatically switch between video sources with ManyCam.
For users with multiple webcams or IP cameras you can easily set them to automatically switch back and forth with a given period of time. Automatic webcam switching is part of ManyCam’s playlist feature. Look below to see how to try the automatic webcam switching feature out.

1) Select the Playlist video source and include web cameras, IP cameras or other ManyCam video sources.
2) Use the ManyCam navigation buttons to manage your playlist.
3) You can specify the playback time for each playlist item. The playback time is set to 30 seconds by default. Click on that value to change it.
Now with ManyCam your webcams and video sources can automatically switch back and forth without you having to click them!
ManyCam 3.1.41 is now available for download.
This new version of ManyCam has an updated webcam driver for full Windows 8 Metro applications support. For example if you use Skype via the Metro interface with Windows 8 it should work well with ManyCam. Some users were also reporting that ManyCam would not start for them in some circumstances. This update should solve some problems a tiny percentage of ManyCam users were having with random crashing and the software not starting at all.
This is a free update for our ManyCam Pro users.
This morning we released some new free and Pro ManyCam background effects including Hypnotic Colored Spirals, View from Train Window, Bubbles, Flying Planes, and Fireplace (free). Download ManyCam then download these free effects to try them out on your webcam. ManyCam background effects add a fun animated background behind you and make your webcam calls and broadcasts more interesting.
You can also make your own custom effects and upload them for others to use on our website.
ManyCam 3.1.43 for Windows is now available for download. This new version of ManyCam has a major new virtual audio driver with some enhancements and bug fixes. It is recommended that all ManyCam users who use our audio features upgrade to this newest software version.
We have also made some progress on updating our Mac software and we hope to have a 2.0 version update in the next 30-60 days, then we’ll begin working on a major update to bring our Mac software up to date with our Windows software.
ManyCam cracks don’t really work and they are always viruses or malware that turn your computer into a botnet where hackers can see everything you do on your computer. Don’t be fooled by fake ManyCam Pro cracks that don’t work and ruin your computer. Be careful out there and thanks for supporting ManyCam!

Sometimes random chat sites like Omegle will monitor what video source you are using and give a custom message to other people you are video chatting with. This is probably because someone abused their system or broke their rules in the past with some type of virtual webcam software. People who abuse chat sites like Omegle will get permanently banned from the service.
Most people who use ManyCam use it in positive ways, for example artists who create awesome drawings of the person they are video chatting with or people who use our text over video feature to teach others a new language. ManyCam’s video and audio effects are also very fun to try out on sites like Omegle or Chatroulette.
We sometimes use sites like Omegle and Chatroulette to test our software and make sure it’s functioning properly before releasing new versions. I think it’s unfair to artists, musicians, software developers, and other positive ManyCam users to have a negative message associated with their video. Fortunately there is an easy way to regain your privacy with ManyCam.
ManyCam Custom Video Source
Go to the top left ManyCam “Video” tab then choose “Sources”. At the bottom left of the window you’ll see “Custom Video Source”. Change your video source name to whatever you want like “my cool webcam” and then restart your browser and you have now regained your privacy. This feature does not work on the Chrome browser or for Mac users currently.

ManyCam 3.1.51 is now available for download. This update adds mms URL radio support under the “audio” tab and also includes many bug fixes and stability improvements. We’d like to thank the users who email our helpdesk and report problems so we can fix them and continue to improve ManyCam.
Did you know ManyCam got its name because of its original ability to split webcams between many applications simultaneously? For example if you use ManyCam as your video source you can use Skype, Ustream, Oovoo, and any other video chat service all at the same time with Windows or Mac. Some people call this ability a virtual webcam but others refer to it as a webcam splitter.

ManyCam version 3.1.53 for Windows is now available for download. This new version includes some minor bug fixes reported by users and also adds some fun new free audio effects with our installer.
If you find a problem with ManyCam please report it to our helpdesk so we can fix it in a future release.
Some of our business users have reported problems with upgrading to Pro if they are behind a Proxy. ManyCam 3.1.57 solves this problem along with adding some updated documentation for our popular IP camera feature. We have also fixed a few minor bugs users reported. It is recommended that all ManyCam users upgrade to this new ManyCam version for Windows.
ManyCam 3.1.58 is now available for download. This new release has a “reset settings” feature that allows users with technical problems to easily reset their ManyCam settings to help solve the issue. To reset your ManyCam settings back to defaults go to the Start/ManyCam menu and choose “reset settings”.
ManyCam 3.1.59 is now available for download. Some ManyCam fans emailed us to let us know they were having trouble opening some video formats. After researching the problem we found the bug that caused some ManyCam users from being able to open some video formats and fixed it. Please upgrade your ManyCam software to fix the problem.
